Some people pick up a paintbrush for a project. I've never really put one down.
I'm Katherine Nichols — an artist based in Collierville, Tennessee. I've been painting since kindergarten, starting with the kind of bold, colorful work that felt less like a hobby and more like a language. Over the years, that instinct turned into a real craft: learning color theory, composition, and what it actually takes to make something that feels personal.
About a year ago, I started making custom hand-painted banners for friends and family — birthdays, graduations, prom send-offs. The reaction was immediate. People loved having something completely unique made for their moment, and word spread fast. That's how Katherine's Creations came to be.
Banners are where this all started, but the work has grown well beyond them. I've expanded into canvas paintings, dorm decor, and original works across a range of surfaces and mixed media — because great art isn't one-size-fits-all, and neither are the people I make it for.
